MAYFLY 전시 시리즈 소개

MAYFLY, 하루살이라는 뜻과 같이 1일 네트워크형 이벤트성 전시

2015년 3월부터 약 매6주마다 꾸준히 진행되어 왔으며 다양한 계층과 연령의 작가들과 작품들을 만나볼 수 있는 기회 (2016년에는 3월부터 격달 진행)

MAY FLY 전시는 작가, 크리틱, 큐레이터들에게 실험적인 작품과 프로젝트들의 피드백과 토론을 할 수 있는 기회를 창출

​

학력, 경력, 나이, 주제, 매체 등의 제한 없이 보여주고 싶은 작품과 참여의사가 있는 열정적인 창작자라면 누구나 참여할 수 있는 전시

​

참여를 원하는 작가가 기획자의 질문들이 담긴 설문지를 작성하고 전시될 수 있는 작품 몇점의 사진들을 기획자의 이메일로 보내주면 함께 작품을 선정하고 참여작가로 선정됨

​

작가가 직접 작품을 설치하고 철수를 진행하고, 오프닝날 꼭 참석하는것이 기획자가 참여작가에게 바라는 유일한 조건들임

​

오프닝 후 (7시쯤) 작가와 작품을 소개하는 시간이 있음

​

전시 참여작가는 기획자도 당일까지 알 수 없음

​

MAYFLY, as its meaning, is a one-day long networking event/exhibition.

It started in March 2015, recurring every six weeks. It allows people to exhibit despite their background. Starting in March 2016, the event is hosted bi-monthly.

​

We exhibit experimental pieces or projects to provide an opportunity to get feedback and have discussions with other artists, critics, and curators.

All creators are welcome to participate as there are no restrictions based on age, education, experience, topic, or media.

​

Artists who wish to participate will fill out a survey developed by the curators and will attach images of their work via email.

Curators and artists work together for the final selection of works to be exhibited.

​

The only condition being that artists must install and deinstall their works themselves. They must also be present on the opening day.

​

On the night of the exhibition (around 7pm) artists will be required to introduce their works and themselves in our MAYFLY artist talk.

​

The list of participating artists will not finalized until the day of the exhibition.
